How can I help?
Volunteer! Check with your church’s outreach program chairman or volunteer coordinator or call the Hickory Soup Kitchen Manager, Austin Pearce (828-327-4828) or E-Mail: firstname.lastname@example.org
Serving food is one of the ways that volunteers can help. It is not strenuous work and only requires your help for less than two hours around lunch time. There are other opportunities for all ages. Call the soup kitchen to see how you can help.
We often need donations of paper products, cleaning products, #10 conmmercial size canned food, and other non-food items.
We also need help picking up surplus food from donors. If you have a truck or van and can lift boxes of food, please let us know.
Spread the word! Encourage your church, business, or civic organization to make a donation to the Hickory Soup Kitchen. We need your support to continue to serve the hungry in the Hickory area.
To donate money, please use the paypal link to the right. It is safe and secure way of making a donation. You can also write a check to The Hickory Soup Kitchen. Mail it or drop it off to Executive Director Austin Pearce at the Hickory Soup Kitchen during operating hours.
